Archive dates, not uptime
The Internet Archive captures pages when it can, not continuously. First and last snapshot describe how long the site has been publicly visible — not whether it is up right now.
The age red flag
A registration from this year claiming ten years of business is visible in one glance: the archive and the registry both say when the domain first existed.
When the archive is silent
Archive.org occasionally refuses to answer. The check says 'unavailable' and still offers the direct link — the captures may well exist even when the API did not answer.
